About UNSW DOI Service Help

The UNSW DOI Service enables UNSW affiliated staff and students (with a ZID) to request a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for grey literature and non-traditional research outputs deposited in a UNSW Library repository (e.g. UNSWorks). A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a persistent and unique identifier for research outputs. DOIs allow research to be more easily discovered, accessed and measured for impact.

A DOI can be minted for the following publication types: reports, working papers, theses, conference posters, conference papers, conference items, media items, music compositions, creative works and submission to government

Please contact a DOI Service Administrator at doiservice@unsw.edu.au if you would like to request a DOI for another publication type. For all other queries please contact your Outreach Librarian.

The UNSW DOI Service mints DOIs through the Australian National Data Service, which is a member of DataCite. An example of a report in UNSWorks with a DOI minted using this service is http://doi.org/10.4225/53/5758EA035BD88
